So I managed to f@$! up on at least one final. I’ll know for sure once grades are released, but I’m fairly certain I shot myself in the foot. Against my better judgment, I took 19 units this semester hoping that my being unemployed would give me more than enough time to devote to my studies. Besides being exhausted, I don’t feel like I was able to give 100% to each class. Most students take half that many units and I now know why.
Though I feel I could have performed better with fewer classes, I am proud of myself for completing the semester. Through sickness and in health, I finished. The journey I took from August to December introduced me to breads, pastries, cakes and production in new ways and I have become more humble, and confident about the future. Thank God my first and second semester of Pastry school has come to an end. Enjoy the photos from finals week.
